The 2003 UNESCO Convention definition of intangible cultural heritage (ICH) covers religious practices and rites, as can be seen from normative descriptions and dozens of actual examples, many of which are Catholic religious traditions. The Traditional Latin Mass (TLM), practiced in one form or another for over 1500 years by an ever-increasing number of peoples and nations and in possession of a common stable set of rules, meets the UNESCO criteria for listing as ICH; in fact, it is arguably the best possible example. Błogosławiony Grzegorz Chomyszyn był ukraińskim greckokatolickim biskupem i męczennikiem. Urodził się 25 marca 1867 r. w wiosce Hadyńkowce, we wschodniej Galicji. W 1904 r. został wyświęcony na biskupa Stanisławowa. Chomyszyn uważał, że Cerkiew greckokatolicka powinna przyjąć więcej tradycji zachodnich, aby podkreślić związek unickiej Cerkwi z Rzymem. Oznaczało to wprowadzenie łacińskich praktyk takich jak kalendarz gregoriański i ścisłe przestrzegania celibatu duchownych.

Using a semiotic approach, this article analyses the communication actions of the Catholic Church, from a de-centred point of view. Indeed, rather than focusing on the communicational values of the evangelical message, we examine the way that the Church communicates outside its institutional and spiritual sphere, in the profane world of the media, through the example of the "campagne du Denier" fundraising campaign. Il saggio ricostruisce identità e caratteristiche della cosiddetta "feudalità ecclesiastica" siciliana sotto il dominio degli Asburgo di Spagna (secoli XVI-XVII). Essa era costituita dai titolari dei benefici di regio patronato più prestigiosi per giurisdizione, ricchezza e antichità (vescovati, abbazie e priorati). Questi prelati, soggetti al diritto di presentazione dei re di Sicilia (e quindi di Spagna), erano membri di diritto del braccio ecclesiastico del Parlamento del Regno e, in quanto tali, anche parte integrante del sistema fiscale del regno, condizione peculiare rispetto ad altre entità statuali italiane ed europee.

Kritiske ytringer om pave Frans framsettes som regel på konservativt og tradisjonalistisk katolsk hold. Denne artikkelen sikter på å presentere en progressivt fundert kritikk av det nåværende pontifikatet. Frans krediteres for gode intensjoner, pastoralt lederskap og motstand mot klerikalistiske holdninger. Men da han ikke har maktet – og kanskje heller ikke tilstrekkelig klart ønsket – å endre kirkens utdaterte hierarkiske struktur, er han ingen løsning på de store utfordringene Den katolske kirke lenge har stått overfor. Artikkelen har et aktuelt og kritisk sikte, og den preges i større grad av normative vurderinger enn mange andre faglige bidrag i dag.

Polish followers of this religious movement are largely centred around the Pentecostal Church in Poland.
